Stoneware Dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe. Hand-washing in warm water with mild soap preserves the glaze longest. Avoid abrasive pads. Not suitable for the oven. If the glaze chips on the rim, the clay beneath is still food-safe.

Linen Wipe the notebook cover with a just-damp cloth if needed. Do not soak. Store flat or upright — not bent under weight. The linen will soften with handling.

Brass The pen patinas naturally with use. To restore brightness, wipe with a soft cloth or a small amount of brass polish on a cotton pad. Do not leave it wet or store it damp.

Walnut Wipe the tray with a dry or barely damp cloth. Every six months, rub in a little raw linseed or food-safe mineral oil and buff dry. Keep away from radiators and direct sun.

Beeswax Store tapers upright in a cool, dry place. Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn. If the flame smokes, it is burning in a draught — move it. Beeswax produces almost no soot and drips minimally when kept out of the wind.

Wool Spot-clean the desk mat with cold water and a little wool wash. Press gently; do not rub. Allow to dry flat. A fabric shaver removes any pills that form over time.
